Happy Journaling!

I recommend keeping a journal of your symptoms, medications, appointments, questions for your doctor or pharmacist, meals and snacks, daily activities, exercise routines, and changes for all of them. Some people keep a journal for everything listed above and even more details than I listed while others just keep it for one thing. With pain and illness, brain fog is very common no matter what our diagnosis is or what medications we are taking. The journal is a way for you to track allergic reactions, increases in pain, questions so you don't forget, and so much more. I know for some this journal idea is an oldie since you already have had one for years, but for others it may be a new idea or something you want to do again after quitting.

On our facebook community page you can keep a journal there just by going into the Discussions Tab and starting a new topic. These can be journals or diaries or whatever you want to call them and you can keep anything in them that you want, and feel comfortable with. BE AWARE that the community page is completely PUBLIC so everyone will be able to read what you write. Many do not feel comfortable with that and so they choose to start a notebook at home or keep notes on a calendar. Some even choose blogging for that purpose and start their own blog. Still others use their computer, laptop, PDA, cell phone, etc.

However you choose to journal is up to you, but I sure hope you do it for yourself, your sanity, to help your memory get jogged, and for better medical treatment considering all your facts about all aspects of your life. Its all healthy and should not be supressed at all!!

Happy Journaling to everyone!!

Pain Stories Encouraged--Let's Fill The Walls on the Facebook Group & Page!!

Post your story of pain as a comment or status on both walls of the FB Group & Page, or start a discussion thread anytime. Feel free to start a diary or journal of your journey with pain in the discussions tab. I want to encourage any form of healthy communication of any type of pain--emotional, spiritual, physical or any combination of pain. Post both here on the Community Page and on the Group.
Go to the discussions tab on either the Group or Page and click on "Start a New Topic", title your post, write your story and publish. Its that easy. You will be amazed at how good it feels to share plus you may help someone else feel less alone in their pain.  I want each of you to find at least one person who gets where you are coming from, not out of sympathy, but because they have been through what you are going through. You can't find those connections unless you share your story or come forward in a way that feels right for you.  Introduce yourself in a reply on any Showcase topic you wish (there are 42 to choose from)--one or all--its your choice.  Anyone can join the FB Group by clicking "Join", and become a fan by clicking "Like" on the Community Fan Page. Lots of options and ways to share.

Start Today!!

"Honor A Veteran", "Memory Wall" & "Wall of Pain"

So Happy to Announce 3 New Facebook Community Page Additions--

"Honor A Veteran", "Memory Wall" and our community's own "Wall of Pain"!!

In honor of Veterans' Day, I am so pleased to share a group member's awesome idea to have a place where family and friends can honor their loved ones who serve in the military. Feel free to post the name, rank, number of years in service, and military branch of anyone you would like to HONOR. Share as little or as much information as you want. Thank you to all the brave men and women who serve in our military. Your sacrifices and selfless courage will never be taken for granted or forgotten. We support you ALWAYS!!

Next is our group's very own "Memory Wall". Feel free to share the names of your friends or family members that have passed on or died. Remember there is no judgment here so you are safe to say whatever you need or want to say. For example: how the loss has effected you and your family; share stories or funny sayings or quotes; share what you might say to the person you have lost if you had one more hour, or one more day with them. Pain of loss is very REAL.

Share your story or journey with pain. It can be as long or as short as you want. Remember its not complaining to tell your story. The communication of pain is healthy for your body, mind, and spirit. I believe its necessary for wellness if you deal with any type of chronic pain or illness or combination of both. Here is your opportunity to tell YOUR STORY...YOUR WAY with no judgment or criticism. Pain Sufferers Speak's Global community is based on being a safe place for you to communicate your pain in any way that works and feels right for you.

Remember to speak openly about your pain. Its not complaining!! The healthiest way to deal with any type of pain is to share it with someone else. You will feel lighter, and you just might find someone else who completely understands what you are going through. Its wonderful to see our group making connections everyday. Keep posting!!

Have a meaningful week!!
